Support

Let’s get you unstuck.

Most problems have a simple explanation: a disconnected drive, a filter left on, or a task that has not quite finished.

A good place to start

Four quick checks

  1. Make sure the source drive or folder is available.
  2. Finish or cancel any scan, duplicate, conversion, or resize task still running.
  3. Clear the search box and check the active library filter.
  4. Open Galpho’s Activity Log and look at the latest operation.

Why is a folder or file missing?

Confirm the folder is part of an active Galpho library and that the drive is connected. Clear the current search and switch the media filter to All. Then rescan the affected library.

Does adding a library move my files?

No organization action runs when you add a library. Galpho indexes the folders you choose. Moving or copying media happens only through an explicit organization workflow.

Can I stop a long operation?

Scanning, duplicate analysis, duplicate resolution, conversion, and resize workflows expose cancellation where the underlying operation can stop safely. Wait for the activity state to confirm the stop before starting another task.

Why does Galpho show an unsupported item?

The source file may use a format the current viewer cannot render directly. Galpho can identify these items and, for supported conversion paths, create a compatible copy while preserving the source.

Where does Galpho keep its library?

The working index stays on your computer. Your photos and videos remain in the folders you chose, and they are still accessible without Galpho.

How do I verify the installer?

Compare the file's SHA-256 value with the checksum on the Download page. The current installer is Galpho-Setup-1.1.50.exe.
